Back to list Competition

The start is planned for August 22nd, heading for 1 200 nautical miles, supervised by expert race officer, Jacques Caraes.

The Mediterranean Sea will become my playground, and I am going to focus more particularly on supporting and sharing with SOS Méditerranée http://www.sosmediterranee.fr/

I will take the opportunity to follow our observation mission, looking out for megafauna as well as waste and plastics, on behalf of scientists from Université Côte d’Azur.

I am very much looking forward to the release of the application, thanks to our Italian partner LBA Consulting, as it doesn't always come easy to take notes on paper while sailing an IMOCA!

The qualification stage is sailed single-handed, yet, for obvious safety reasons (cargo ships, intense marine traffic, etc) but also to provide great pictures of the course, I will be taking one person onboard, the famous outdoors photographer and cameraman Simon Vallé, who will not be allowed to touch anything on board for a week, apart from his cameras. Thank you Simon for being there and doing so!

If we get a little extra on the budget we will send you live videos of this great sailing adventure.

Stay tuned! And follow the course on social networks!

if you want to help us and participate :-)
